With only hours remaining before the transfer window closes in Tanzania, Simba SC have made a major late push in the market by submitting official offers for two highly rated international forwards, Pape Abdou N’diaye and Tonny Talas Madudu, as they look to strengthen their attack for the new season.
The move is part of a rapid effort by Simba's technical bench and management to secure a reliable goalscorer after weaknesses were identified in the team's attacking department.
Reliable sources within the club say Simba have submitted an offer to Libyan club Al-Tahaddy for Senegalese striker Pape Abdou N’diaye.
N’diaye, 24, has considerable experience in African football, having played for prominent clubs including Guinea's Horoya AC and Sudan's Al Hilal. He is praised for his ability to operate in two different attacking roles, as a central striker (No. 9) and a right winger.
His composure and experience in CAF competitions are reportedly among the main factors that convinced Simba to pursue his services.
Madudu Transfer Battle with Swiss Club Young Boys
While the N’diaye deal is being pursued, the Msimbazi Reds have also approached FC Les Aigles du Congo to enquire about the availability of their exciting young striker, Tonny Talas Madudu (20).
Madudu has become a talking point in the country after scoring both goals for his team in a friendly match against Yanga during "Yanga Day", helping his side secure a 2-1 victory.
The Congo U20 international is known for his pace, excellent ball control and eye for goal.
However, Simba face stiff competition, as Swiss Super League club BSC Young Boys have also entered the race for the youngster's signature.
To facilitate the deal, Simba are reportedly prepared to part ways with their foreign midfielder, Inno Jospin Loemba, in order to create room for another striker.
