After losing the Community Shield match yesterday, Simba have no time to waste as the squad has returned to Dar es Salaam to begin preparations for their opening league match of the season.
Simba will begin their campaign away from home in Kagera Region, where they will face Kagera Sugar on August 16 at Kaitaba Stadium.
Simba's Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, has urged Simba fans not to be discouraged by the Community Shield defeat, stressing that the team must focus on its main objective for the season: winning the Premier League title.
He said the club's leadership is taking into account the views of Simba supporters and will work on the issues they have raised.
Writing on his social media page, Ahmed posted the following message:
"Alhamdulillah, we have returned safely to Dar es Salaam, and we are immediately beginning preparations for our first Premier League match on August 16 against Kagera Sugar.
We woke up to a painful morning, and some people did not even get any sleep.
I want to assure Simba fans that we have seen and heard your opinions and will act on them. Issues concerning the club's leadership are being addressed, and those relating to the technical side are also being addressed.
Let us be very careful about some people who want to use our defeat to fuel conflicts and undermine our leaders based on one match, while forgetting that these are the same leaders who won two of the three derbies last season.
If you see someone praising food at a funeral, know that the funeral does not concern them; and if you see someone mocking Simba for losing one match, know that they have an agenda that benefits them.
We have three difficult matches ahead of us, and we need to prepare ourselves to win those matches.
We must not allow yesterday's result to affect our opening Premier League matches."
