Simba SC Head of Information and Communications Ahmed Ally has urged Simba fans not to lose hope after their team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Yanga SC in the Community Shield final.
Ally said the result should not be a reason for fans to become discouraged, explaining that in football a team can dominate a match but fail to take its chances, while the opponent may capitalise on one opportunity to secure victory.
Ally acknowledged that Simbaβs attacking department needs improvement, saying the team has not been clinical enough in converting chances into goals.
However, he stressed that the season is still long and Simba have 30 Tanzania Mainland Premier League matches ahead of them, meaning one defeat does not mark the end of the teamβs campaign.
Ally urged Simba fans to put the Community Shield result behind them and focus on the opening Premier League match against Kagera Sugar. He said Simba must learn from the mistakes made in the match and start afresh in their pursuit of success during the 2026/27 season.
