Simba SC are reportedly in talks to complete the signing of DR Congo striker Glody Kilangalanga before the current transfer window closes.
Sources within the club say that one of Simba's senior officials is leading the negotiations in an effort to finalize the deal and have the forward available for the upcoming season.
Kilangalanga, a left-footed attacker, is capable of playing both as a centre-forward and a right winger. He began his career with AS Maniema Union in DR Congo before moving to Tunisia, where he featured for CS Chebba and Olympique Béja.
During his time with Olympique Béja, he won the Tunisian Cup. He later joined Algeria's JS Kabylie before seeking a new challenge in Saudi Arabia, where he most recently played for Al-Washm.
Simba head coach Steve Barker is looking to further strengthen his attacking options despite the recent signing of Ibrahim Doumbia, who is already with the squad in Rwanda for pre-season preparations.
The club is also reportedly working to bring striker Suleiman Mwalimu back on loan, with fresh negotiations between Simba and Wydad now underway.
