Simba midfielder Inno Loemba is facing an uncertain future at the club after failing to deliver the expected performances during the CECAFA Kagame Cup, where Simba's campaign ended in the group stage.
Loemba was among the players given a significant opportunity to prove himself during the tournament, but his displays have sparked widespread debate among Simba supporters, with many believing he fell short of the coaching staff's expectations.
Meanwhile, Simba's Information and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has confirmed that the club remains active in the transfer market as it looks to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Ahmed said the club's management identified areas that need improvement following the Kagame Cup and is continuing the process of signing new players to increase competition within the squad.
In addition to Loemba, midfielder Mothus Cooper, who was on trial during the tournament, is also reported to have failed to convince Simba's coaching staff. Reports indicate that the player will not be offered a place in the squad after falling short of the technical team's required standards.
Simba remain in Rwanda, where they are completing the final phase of their pre-season preparations before returning to Dar es Salaam to finalize arrangements for Simba Day, which is scheduled to take place on August 8.
