Simba's second CECAFA Kagame Cup match ended in another goalless draw, this time against South Sudan's Jamus SC.
The Msimbazi Reds needed a victory to strengthen their chances of qualifying for the tournament's semi-finals, but were unable to find the breakthrough.
The result leaves Simba third in Group B with two points. Jamus SC remain at the top of the group with four points, while Singida Black Stars are second with two points.
To secure a place in the semi-finals, Simba must now defeat Singida Black Stars in their final group-stage match, which is scheduled for July 31.
Speaking after the match, Simba head coach Steve Barker reiterated that the tournament is part of the club's pre-season preparations. He stressed that his main priority is ensuring every player gets valuable minutes on the pitch while building chemistry between the club's new signings and the existing squad ahead of the new season.
