Simba SC have brought 22-year-old striker Ibrahim Doumbia to Tanzania from Malian club AS Korofina.
Reports indicate that the forward has already arrived in Dar es Salaam to complete the final formalities of his move to the Msimbazi-based club.
Simba are said to have offered Doumbia a one-year contract with an option to extend it by a further year if he performs well.
Doumbia joins the Reds of Msimbazi as a free agent after the expiration of his contract with AS Korofina.
The striker arrives in Tanzania with an impressive reputation following an outstanding campaign in the Malian Premier League last season.
While playing for AS Korofina, he scored 17 goals in 24 league matches to finish as the top scorer in the Malian Premier League.
He also provided four assists and scored four goals in the FA Cup, finishing second in the competition's scoring chart.
Simba fans are expected to get their first glimpse of Doumbia in action during the CECAFA Kagame Cup, which is scheduled to begin on July 24 in Rwanda.
