Simba resumed training yesterday as the team began preparations for the busy 2026/27 season. The club is also set to kick off its campaign in the CECAFA Kagame Cup, which gets underway on July 24 in Rwanda.
Good news for Simba fans is the return to training of defenders Abdulrazak Hamza and Wilson Nangu, who have been sidelined for a long period due to injuries.
Both Hamza and Nangu return after missing almost the entire previous season.
Hamza did not feature in any competitive match last season after suffering an injury during the Community Shield, while Nangu was injured on international duty during Simba's CAF Champions League match against Esperance.
Their return to training is a clear sign that they have recovered from their injuries, and it is only a matter of time before they are back in the matchday squad once they regain full fitness.
