Simba SC have continued to make a statement in the transfer market after signing Sekhukhune United’s key attacking midfielder, Keletso Makgalwa (29), ahead of the new competitive season.
Sources from Msimbazi have confirmed that the Tanzanian giants have reached a final agreement with Sekhukhune United and the player himself, with all contractual matters and personal terms completed 100 percent.
Simba head coach Steve Barker is credited with playing a major role in securing the winger’s signing. Reports suggest that Makgalwa was also being pursued by rivals Yanga, whose new South African coach Manqoba Mngqithi was said to have contacted the player in an attempt to convince him to join, but without success.
Barker knows Makgalwa’s abilities well, having previously worked with him. He is the one who recommended the signing of the talented player, who possesses great pace and can operate as a left winger as well as an attacking midfielder.
Makgalwa has also featured for South African football giants Mamelodi Sundowns. He is known for his excellent ball control, ability to provide key passes, and experience in major domestic and continental competitions in South Africa—qualities that Simba’s technical bench believes will provide a major boost as the club seeks to restore its status both locally and internationally.
Simba SC management is expected to officially unveil the new signing soon, with high hopes that his arrival will significantly strengthen the attacking department of the Msimbazi Reds.
