Simba SC's hopes of signing Nigeria international goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali have officially come to an end after the shot-stopper rejoined Chippa United.
Simba had been pursuing Nwabali since his contract with Chippa United expired seven months ago, but their efforts to secure his signature were ultimately unsuccessful.
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, Chippa United officially announced Nwabali's return, welcoming the goalkeeper back to the club.
Simba are now continuing their search for another goalkeeper, while also considering offering a new contract to Mohammed Tanja Kassali.
Kassali has been Simba's first-choice goalkeeper since January 2026 after initially signing a six-month contract, which expired on July 4 following the CRDB Cup final.
