Simba chairman Murtaza Mangungu has revealed that the club will make key improvements to its squad to ensure they return stronger next season and achieve their ambition of winning every available trophy.
Last season, Simba won two titles — the Union Cup and the CRDB Cup. However, Mangungu said the club’s main objective was to win every competition they participated in.
The Simba chairman said the club is satisfied with how they ended the season and will build on that foundation as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
"We are grateful that we have reached the end of the league season and all other competitions this season, despite finishing later compared to some other regions of the world."
"For us, we are thankful that we managed to end the season by winning the CRDB Cup. I cannot explain success too much because, in most cases, you measure success based on what you set out to achieve."
"Our intention was to participate in all competitions and win them all. For what we achieved, we thank God that we succeeded, and for what we did not achieve, we will make improvements to ensure we perform better next season," Mangungu said.
After a break of approximately two weeks, the Simba squad is expected to return to training next week to begin preparations for the new 2026/27 season.
Simba will use the CECAFA Kagame Cup as part of their pre-season preparations, with the tournament scheduled to take place from July 24 to August 2.
