Simba SC appears to have re-entered the race to sign Azam FC star midfielder Feisal Salum, popularly known as Fei Toto, after failing to complete the deal during the previous transfer window.
Reliable reports indicate that Simba has restarted its efforts to secure the services of the talented midfielder, with billionaire and Simba honorary president Mohamed Dewji (Mo Dewji) reportedly involved in the plan to help make the deal happen.
According to the reports, Simba has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the player and is now expected to submit an official offer to Azam FC.
Fei Toto at the peak of his form
Last season, Fei Toto continued to prove his quality as one of the best midfielders in the Tanzanian Premier League. He finished the campaign with 15 goals and eight assists, making him the player involved in the highest number of goals. His ability to create chances, score goals, and connect the midfield with the attack has continued to increase his value in the transfer market.
Simba believes a player of Fei Toto’s profile could add more creativity to its squad, especially in domestic competitions and on the international stage.
Azam still holds the final decision
The biggest challenge for Simba is that Fei Toto remains under contract with Azam FC. Therefore, for the transfer to be completed before the end of his contract, Simba will have to reach an agreement with Azam regarding a transfer fee.
In the past, Azam FC has maintained that Fei Toto is a key player for the club and that any decision regarding his future will be made in the best interests of the team.

This is not the first time Simba has attempted to sign the midfielder. During the previous transfer window, Simba was reported to be close to securing his services, but Azam FC managed to retain the player after negotiations over a contract extension.
