After completing the signing of 23-year-old Nigerian attacking midfielder Ibraheem Jabaar from Stellenbosch FC, Simba SC are reportedly continuing to strengthen their squad by opening negotiations for Sekhukhune United winger Keletso Makgalwa.
The proposed move is said to be another recommendation from head coach Steve Barker, who is keen to add more quality and depth in the wide attacking positions ahead of the new season.
Makgalwa enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 campaign, contributing to eight goals by scoring twice and providing six assists. The right-footed winger is known for operating from the left flank, where his pace, dribbling ability, and skill in taking on defenders make him a constant attacking threat.
Despite already having quality wide players such as Anicet Oura, Libasse Gueye, and Elie Mpanzu—who is occasionally deployed as a central striker by Barker—Simba are determined to increase competition and improve squad depth in the attacking department.
Barker's tactical approach relies heavily on attacks built through the wings, making it essential for the club to have several high-quality options available, especially when injuries or suspensions affect the squad.
Reports indicate that Simba have made significant progress in negotiations with the winger, although they continue to face competition from other clubs interested in securing his signature.
