Simba SC attacking midfielder Elie Mpanzu has expressed deep emotions after witnessing the massive reception from fans during the club’s CRDB Cup victory parade held yesterday in Dar es Salaam.
Mpanzu said he was truly touched by the love shown by Wanasimba, explaining that the moment made him feel compelled to thank all supporters who played a part in the team’s success this season.
"With tears in my eyes and great joy, I send this message to all Simba Sports Club fans everywhere, inside and outside the country. Thank you so much for continuing to support your team and us, your players," Mpanzu said.
The star revealed that the support from fans also helped him through difficult moments during the season, noting that messages of encouragement, phone calls, and words of motivation played a key role in his quick return to form.
"Personally, I appreciate how you stood with me throughout the season. You were always there for me, even when I was going through tough times and feeling alone. Because of your messages, calls, and motivation, I managed to recover quickly and finish the season strongly," he added.
Mpanzu also thanked fans for the warm welcome the team received upon arrival from the airport before the start of the victory parade, saying the moment will remain in his memory for a long time.
"Thank you again for the great honor you showed us yesterday by receiving us from the airport. I was really happy and couldn’t stay silent; I had to thank you all."
He concluded by wishing fans peace and safety while promising to return stronger for the new season.
"Let us continue to have peace and safety. We will see you again soon for the new season."
