Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has described the club's achievements during the 2025/26 season as only the beginning, promising to lead the team to even greater success in the upcoming campaign.
Barker said his objective is to see Simba win every domestic trophy in Tanzania while mounting an even stronger challenge in the CAF Champions League, where he believes the squad has the quality to go deep into the competition.
The South African coach said he hopes next season's victory parade will be even bigger than this year's celebrations, something he believes can be achieved if the Msimbazi Reds secure all domestic titles and enjoy a successful run in continental football.
"We want to continue building a highly competitive team. Our goal is to win every domestic trophy and perform even better in the CAF Champions League. I hope that next season we will have an even bigger victory parade than the one we had this year," Barker said.
He emphasized that Simba will not be satisfied with last season's achievements alone and will continue strengthening the squad with the aim of becoming one of Africa's top clubs while bringing greater success and prestige to the team in international competitions.
Yesterday, Simba officially concluded the 2025/26 season with a major victory parade through various parts of Dar es Salaam, as thousands of supporters turned out to celebrate the team's achievements. The celebrations brought traffic and business activities to a standstill in several areas of the city for hours due to the huge crowds.
The celebrations followed Simba's triumph in the CRDB Federation Cup, their first major domestic trophy after a four-season wait. In addition, the Msimbazi Reds also won the Muungano Cup, marking their return as one of Tanzania's leading competitive sides.
