Following Simba SC's 1-0 victory over Azam FC in the CRDB Cup final at Gombani Stadium in Pemba, the club's Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, has officially announced a grand victory parade to celebrate the achievement with the club's leadership, players, and supporters.
Ahmed said the team will return to Dar es Salaam tomorrow at 10:00 AM, with the parade set to begin at Julius Nyerere International Airport. The celebrations will pass through Buguruni, Kigogo, Jangwani, and Msimbazi before concluding at Coco Beach, where a major celebration has been organized.
Simba lifted the CRDB Cup after a four-season wait. Ahmed described the triumph as the beginning of even greater success for the club.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board of Directors Crescentius Magori said that despite the challenges the team faced throughout the season, they ultimately achieved their goal of winning the trophy.
Magori added that Simba also deserved to win the Tanzania Mainland Premier League title and suggested that human errors by match officials had denied them the championship. Nevertheless, he said the CRDB Cup title remains highly significant, believing it will inspire the club and mark the beginning of Simba's return to dominance in Tanzanian football.
