Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has said his team is fully prepared for the CRDB Cup final against Azam FC, which will be played tomorrow, Saturday, July 4, at Gombani Stadium in Pemba.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the match, Barker said the squad is in high spirits and highly motivated as they look to secure victory and lift the trophy.
He expressed confidence in his team's quality and readiness to face an Azam FC side coached by the experienced Florent Ibenge.
"We are going up against a team that is tactically well organised. I also believe we have a tactically strong team, so this will be a match decided by small details."
"The last time we played Azam FC, it was a game of two halves. I think they were better in the first half, while we were stronger in the second. In my view, we had the better chances to win."
"We have a good team, we are determined to win this trophy, and the players' morale is very high. I believe we deserve to be in this final, and we have every reason to win. After reaching this stage, we want to reward ourselves with the title."
"We are ready, we have prepared well, and now we are waiting for tomorrow so we can show our quality on the pitch and come away with the victory," Barker said.
Simba captain Shomari Kapombe also said every player is in good condition ahead of the final.
"Tomorrow's match is very important for us because when this competition began, our goal was to reach the final. Now that we are here, we want to achieve our main objective, which is to win the trophy."
