The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially released the calendar for the 2026/27 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, confirming that the competitions will begin in early September 2026.
According to the schedule, the preliminary rounds will kick off between September 4 and 6, 2026, with second-leg matches set to follow one week later.
PRELIMINARY ROUND
The first round will be played as follows:
First legs: September 4β6, 2026
Second legs: September 11β13, 2026
The second preliminary round will take place in October:
First legs: October 16β18, 2026
Second legs: October 23β25, 2026
GROUP STAGE
The group stage, which determines qualification for the knockout rounds, will run from November 2026 to January 2027:
Matchday 1: November 27β29, 2026
Matchday 2: December 4β6, 2026
Matchday 3: December 18β20, 2026
Matchday 4: January 8β10, 2027
Matchday 5: January 15β17, 2027
Matchday 6: January 22β24, 2027
KNOCKOUT STAGE
After the group stage, the competition will move into the knockout phase.
Quarter-finals:
First legs: February 26β28, 2027
Second legs: March 5β7, 2027
Semi-finals:
First legs: April 9β11, 2027
Second legs: April 16β18, 2027
Final:
The final will be played between May 9β31, 2027, either as a single match or two legs depending on the host arrangement to be confirmed by CAF.
