Simba SC are set to depart Dar es Salaam on Friday morning heading to Pemba ahead of their CRDB Cup final clash against Azam FC, which will be played on Saturday at Gombani Stadium.
A club spokesperson confirmed that the squad returned to camp immediately after their final league match against KMC to complete preparations for the final.
He added that all players are in good condition and fully focused on securing victory and winning the CRDB Cup title.
"The team went into camp after the match against KMC. All players are ready, and today we will complete our final preparations," he said.
"Tomorrow morning the team will travel from Dar es Salaam to Pemba. Some officials have already traveled ahead, but the playersβ delegation will leave on Friday," added Ahmed.
He also addressed reports circulating on social media claiming that the club had written to the Tanzania Football Federation requesting foreign referees for the final match.
Ahmed said he had not officially received such communication from the club leadership, but acknowledged concerns about refereeing errors that he believes have affected Simba during the concluded season.
