While negotiations are still ongoing with Moroccan club Wydad AC over a loan deal for striker Suleiman Mwalimu, reports indicate that Simba SC are already planning to strengthen their attacking department by adding two more local forwards.
Inside sources suggest that Simba’s management has already completed the signing of Abdul Suleiman “Sopu” from Azam FC. Sopu is expected to join as a free agent at the end of the current season when his contract with Azam FC expires.
Further reports from transfer circles also indicate that Simba are close to finalizing the signing of Mashujaa FC striker Ismail Mgunda.
It is understood that personal terms have already been agreed, with only the final contract signature remaining to complete the move.
So far, Simba are said to have secured four local players as part of their squad strengthening plans ahead of next season.
Kelvin Nashon, Nathaniel Chilambo, Ramadhan Chobwedo, and Bakari Msimu are also reportedly already set to become part of the Msimbazi Reds squad.
For the upcoming season, Simba are focusing on assembling a strong pool of domestic talent, while also planning to bring in additional foreign players.
The club’s overall ambition is to build a highly competitive squad capable of challenging for all trophies they participate in next season.
