It is now official that the 2026 CRDB Bank Federation Cup final will feature a Mzizima Derby between Simba SC and Azam FC.
Azam FC secured their place in the final after eliminating Yanga SC with a dramatic 3–2 victory in the second semi-final played at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.
Simba had already booked their spot in the final in impressive fashion, defeating Coastal Union 4–0 in their semi-final at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
The final is expected to be played in early July 2026 after the conclusion of the NBC Premier League season.
Simba still have the opportunity to complete a domestic double, as they now turn their attention to their remaining three league matches while maintaining strong hopes in the race for the league title.
Many Simba supporters had hoped for another Kariakoo Derby in the final, but Azam FC's victory over Yanga means the trophy will instead be decided in a highly anticipated showdown between two of Tanzania's top clubs.
With both teams chasing silverware and ending the season on a high note, the final promises to be one of the biggest matches of the Tanzanian football calendar.
