Simba SC U20 team, coached by John Bocco, was given an opportunity to test themselves against the senior squad in a special training program organized under head coach Steve Barker.
The session provided a valuable moment for Bocco and his young players to gain experience by training alongside the first team, while also allowing Bocco to reunite with players he once shared the pitch with during his successful playing days at the club.
Among the current Simba squad, captain Shomari Kapombe and Clatous Chama are among the players who worked most closely with Bocco during his time as a striker for the Msimbazi Reds.
It was a nostalgic moment for the veterans, as they found themselves in different roles—Bocco now guiding the next generation as a coach, while his former teammates continue to fight for success on the pitch as players.
