Simba SC have reportedly decided not to retain defender Carabou Chamou, who is currently on loan at TRA United.
According to reports, Simba’s management has already informed Chamou of the decision, giving him the freedom to begin exploring his options ahead of the transfer window that opens next month.
Chamou’s contract with Simba is set to expire at the end of this month, while TRA United are said to be interested in keeping him at the club following his loan spell.
The defender was one of the players signed during the 2024/25 season as part of the squad assembled under former head coach Fadlu Davids.
Both Chamou and midfielder Mzamiru Yassin were sent on loan to TRA United after struggling to secure regular playing time in Simba’s first team this season.
Mzamiru’s contract with Simba is also due to expire at the end of the month, and there are currently no indications that he will be brought back into the Wekundu wa Msimbazi squad.
With Simba expected to make several changes to their roster ahead of next season, the departures of Chamou and potentially Mzamiru could be part of a broader restructuring plan as the club prepares for new challenges.
