Simba SC’s Head of Media and Communications, Ahmed Ali, has taken a swipe at rival fans of Yanga SC, saying their current main agenda is discussing Simba’s new club bus.
There has been intense debate on social media regarding the Irizar bus acquired by Simba, with some rivals reportedly unhappy about the club owning a vehicle worth over one billion Tanzanian shillings.
Ahmed mocked critics, saying they should prepare for even more frustration as the club’s sponsor JayRutty is allegedly planning to bring in a plane for the team.
He wrote:
"After fulfilling the promise of bringing the Irizar, JayRutty now plans to buy a club plane. It should be noted that the plane was not part of the original promise, but the remaining budget from the bus is being used.
Processes have already started and he has contacted several aircraft manufacturers, waiting for pictures and prices to proceed with the purchase.
I have informed you early so you can start learning about planes so that when it arrives you will analyze whether it is used or brand new.
This will hurt you the most." Ahmed wrote.
Meanwhile, Simba’s bus is currently undergoing branding and finishing touches before it is officially put into use.
