Simba SC Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, has congratulated the club’s kit sponsor, Joseph Rwegasira, through his company Jayrutty, following reports that Simba has received a modern Irizar team bus.
Speaking through his social media account, Ahmed Ali said he had not yet received official confirmation from either the club’s leadership or the sponsor regarding the bus that has been widely discussed online. However, he noted that if the Irizar bus circulating on social media is indeed Simba’s new vehicle, then Jayrutty deserves special recognition for fulfilling the commitment.
"I have not been officially informed by sponsor Joe Rwegasira or my club leaders whether the Irizar bus trending on social media belongs to us and has already arrived in Dar es Salaam. But if it is ours, then the whole world should salute Jayrutty. You have delivered and made Simba supporters proud," Ahmed wrote.
Ahmed added that one of the qualities that sets Jayrutty apart is the ability to deliver on promises made when joining Simba in April 2025. He pointed out that although the sponsorship agreement runs for five years, some of the commitments have already begun to materialize within the first year.
According to Ahmed, the arrival of the bus demonstrates a strong commitment to transforming Simba and raising the club’s operational standards while improving services for players and staff.
In a light-hearted tone, Ahmed also joked about the quality and value of the bus, claiming it is among the most modern and expensive team buses in Africa. He humorously suggested that its value is so high that selling it could fund the purchase of buses for every team in the Tanzania Mainland Premier League and still leave money remaining.
Continuing the joke, he said the bus features a conference room, facilities for preparing various beverages, and even the ability to "fly over traffic" whenever it encounters congestion.
Ahmed concluded by thanking Jayrutty for what he described as visible progress within the club and urged Simba supporters to remain patient, insisting that the promises made to the club will continue to be fulfilled over time.
