Simba head coach Steve Barker has expressed confidence that his players will rise to the challenge of a demanding fixture schedule and do everything possible to avoid disappointing the club’s supporters, whose greatest desire is to see the team win both the Mainland Premier League title and the CRDB Federation Cup this season.
After a break of approximately seven days, Simba returned to training two days ago to begin preparations for the final phase of the season. The team is expected to play six matches within a span of just 16 days.
Barker acknowledged the difficulty of the schedule but believes there is an added source of motivation within the squad that will help the players compete strongly in every match.
"It is true that we have had a difficult run of matches during this period, but the players understand what lies ahead of us. Everyone knows the importance of fighting for the league title, and at the same time we do not want to let down our supporters, who have stood behind us throughout the season. I think everyone has seen how hard we have been fighting."

Barker and his squad resumed training at Mo Simba Arena two days ago as they prepare for the crucial run of fixtures. Their next match is scheduled for June 14 against Pamba Jiji at KMC Complex.
