Simba players are expected to complete their seven-day rest period on Monday, when the squad will return to training to begin preparations for the final stretch of the season.
Simba’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, confirmed that all players not on international duty will report to camp as planned.
The club has five league matches remaining to conclude the season, while also preparing for a CRDB Cup semi-final clash against Coastal Union scheduled for June 20.
Simba will face Pamba Jiji at KMC Complex on June 14, followed by an away match against Mbeya City on June 17 in Mbeya.
Ahmed stated that the club is well prepared and determined to finish the season strongly by competing for the remaining two titles.
Chama continues to recover well
In another update, Ahmed Ali confirmed that attacking midfielder Clatous Chama is recovering well after picking up a knock.
Chama was seen limping after Simba’s 1-0 victory over Dodoma Jiji at KMC Complex.
“Chama is improving well. He had a minor injury. I believe after a week of rest he will be fit again and ready to continue with his duties,” he said.
