Yesterday, Simba Queens took to the KMC Complex to face Tausi FC with hopes of securing the Women’s Premier League title.
However, things did not go as expected, as Simba Queens were held to a 1-1 draw.
The result means Simba Queens will now have to wait until their next match against Mashujaa Queens for a chance to officially confirm the championship.
With three matches remaining, Simba Queens only need two more points to guarantee the league title. It now appears to be only a matter of time before coach Mussa Mgosi’s side are crowned champions.
Simba Queens now have 53 points at the top of the league standings, while their rivals Yanga Princess remain on 43 points.
JKT Queens are on 42 points and are still waiting to complete their Round 19 fixture against Ruangwa Queens.
