The scent of championship glory is growing stronger within the Simba Queens camp after the team continued its impressive form in the Tanzania Women’s Premier League (WPL). Their victory today against JKT Queens has moved them a step closer to securing this season’s title.
Simba Queens boosted their title hopes after defeating JKT Queens 2-1 in their Round 18 match played at Major General Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The result takes Simba Queens to 52 points at the top of the league table, opening a significant gap over their closest challengers. Both Yanga Princess and JKT Queens remain on 42 points, giving Simba Queens a strong advantage in the title race.
At the moment, Simba Queens need only two wins from their remaining four matches to mathematically secure the championship. If they manage victories against Tausi FC and Mashujaa Queens, they will officially complete their journey to the league title.
