Simba SC have arrived in Tanga Region, where they will complete their final preparations ahead of their NBC Premier League clash against Coastal Union.
The match is scheduled to be played tomorrow, Thursday, May 21, at Mkwakwani Stadium, kicking off at 6:00 PM.
Simba landed in Tanga yesterday with a full squad, ready for a crucial encounter in which they need victory to move to the top of the league standings.
As the match approaches, all attention is on midfielder Clatous Chama, who has become the main talking point among fans and is seen as the key figure for the Msimbazi Reds.
Chama has been in outstanding form under coach Steve Barker, setting remarkable records over the past four matches.
He has won the Man of the Match award in four consecutive NBC Premier League games, becoming the first player in the league’s history to achieve such a feat.
During that period, Chama has scored five goals, bringing his season tally to eight, just three goals behind the league’s top scorer Feisal Salum.
The Zambian midfielder now has another opportunity to extend his impressive run and delight Simba fans, who have already started jokingly discussing his naturalization after comments from Minister for Information, Culture, Arts and Sports Paul Makonda suggesting interest in granting him Tanzanian citizenship.
