One Simba official said Toure’s performances have made a positive contribution to the team, which is why the club has decided to extend his stay.
“When he arrived, we first wanted to assess his ability, so we gave him a short-term contract. But we are satisfied with his performances, and at any time we can offer him a longer deal,” said the senior Simba official.
“We will give him a one-year contract with an option for an additional year. Honestly, our defense is now much more stable, and he is one of the players who has restored quality to our backline.”
Simba coach Steve Barker also described Toure as a disciplined player who works well with teammates both on and off the pitch, adding that he already knew the defender’s quality before recommending him.
“He is one of the pillars of our defense. I knew him before, and I understood the quality of player we were bringing in. He has experience and great awareness on the pitch,” Barker said.
“You can see that he has developed a strong understanding with his teammates, which is why the team remains stable even when his defensive partner changes.”
