Simba’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, has confirmed that Isamuhyo Stadium is ready to host the highly anticipated Kariakoo Derby between Simba and Yanga, scheduled for 6:00 PM today.
Ahmed dismissed claims made by some Yanga officials that the pitch was unplayable due to waterlogging caused by recent rains.
He stated that both teams conducted their final training sessions at the stadium yesterday without encountering any such issues.
The Simba spokesperson urged their rivals to stop what he described as unnecessary complaints and focus on the match, insisting that there will be no change of venue.
"You deliberately chose not to post training pictures because you know they would expose the true condition of the pitch," he said.
"Post pictures showing your players slipping in the mud at Isamuhyo. Stop creating panic—come and let’s play. The derby will be played here today, and that will not change," Ahmed added.
All other logistical preparations for the match have been completed, and now everything is set for kickoff.
