The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Communications Officer, Clifford Ndimbo, has stated that they have not yet received official information on which stadium Simba SC will use for the upcoming Kariakoo Derby scheduled for May 3.
Simba are the designated home team for the highly anticipated match, whose outcome could play a crucial role in deciding this seasonโs Premier League title race.
Ndimbo explained that, according to regulations, TFF cannot choose a venue on behalf of the home team, provided the selected stadium meets the required standards.
He added that Simbaโs home ground is already known, and therefore the final decision rests with the club.
There have been reports suggesting the match could be played at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
Simba recently held a training camp in Arusha for about 10 days, playing three matches at the venue against TRA United, Dodoma Jiji, and Fountain Gate.
Alternatively, Simba could opt to use their home ground, Isamuhyo Stadium, if it is approved by TFF, despite its relatively smaller capacity.
