Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has said his team is fully prepared for their Premier League match against Namungo FC, set to be played on Sunday, April 19 at Majaliwa Stadium.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference, Barker acknowledged that the game will not be easy due to the quality of their opponents.
However, he emphasized that his squad is well-prepared and determined to secure victory.
Barker added that his team’s philosophy will remain unchanged, as they aim to play attractive football while pushing for a win.
“We are well prepared to continue playing competitive football and to get three points in tomorrow’s match against Namungo FC.”
“We know it won’t be an easy game, but we are ready and determined to make our fans happy,” said Barker.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates, defender Anthony Mligo—who played for Namungo FC last season before joining Simba—said that despite the challenge, the team’s preparation gives them confidence of victory.
“We believe we are going into a tough match. Namungo FC is a strong team with a good coach and experienced players.”
“We will go onto the pitch to execute the plan given by the technical bench. We promise our fans that we will fight to get three important away points,” said Mligo.
Simba’s squad arrived in Ruangwa on Saturday afternoon and are expected to complete their final preparations at Majaliwa Stadium.
