Simba SC have begun early plans to strengthen their squad, with a focus on the right-back position following the long-serving contribution of Shomari Kapombe, who has been with the club for nearly nine years.
Reports from within the club indicate that Simba have set their sights on Singida Black Stars defender Ande Koffi Cirille, who is seen as a strong option to reinforce the position currently occupied by Kapombe.
The Ivorian defender has impressed Simba officials with his ability to play as a right-back, combining defensive solidity with contributions in attack.
The player joined Singida Black Stars on July 1, 2024, from ASEC Mimosas in Ivory Coast, signing a two-year contract set to expire at the end of this season. This situation could allow Simba to sign him as a free agent once his contract runs out.
During the 2024/2025 season, Koffi registered three assists in the league, demonstrating his attacking input. In the current 2025/2026 campaign, he has already provided two assists, continuing to show his effectiveness on both ends of the pitch.
