The Media and Communications Manager of Simba SC, Ahmed Ali, has confirmed that the club has sent striker Jonathan Sowah to the youth team after the management suspended him over allegations of indiscipline.
Ahmed said that after hearing his case, the club reached a decision to reinstate the player, but he will train with the U20 youth team.
"Jonathan Sowah was suspended from our camp in March when we were in Dodoma for a league match against Dodoma Jiji,"
"Sowah was accused of several acts of indiscipline, which were complaints raised by the technical bench,"
"He was sent back to Dar es Salaam to wait for the club’s internal procedures to be completed so that due process could be followed,"
"After his case was heard by the Disciplinary Committee, Sowah was found guilty and given two punishments,"
"The first punishment is a fine, and the second is that he has been ordered to train with the youth team,"
"Sowah will be training with our youth team as part of observation, and if he shows improvement, he may be reintegrated into the senior squad to continue his duties," said Ahmed.
Meanwhile, it is reported that Sowah has submitted a letter to the management requesting mutual termination of his contract.
