Simba SC Board Chairman Crescentius Magori has revealed that the board will discuss a proposal from the club’s sports equipment sponsor, JayRutty, to build a stadium in Bunju.
JayRutty has been contributing Tsh 1 billion annually toward the stadium project. Magori said the board will review the sponsor’s plan and make a decision on the proposal.
Magori also hinted at ongoing constitutional changes involving the club’s trustees and investor, noting that the process is currently underway at BRELA.
“I have been informed by the club’s trustees that the investor has requested to build a stadium on our land in Bunju. One of the trustees called me and said the matter will be brought to the board for discussion.”
“JayRutty is Simba’s sports equipment sponsor and contributes one billion shillings annually toward stadium construction. We will sit down with him to review his plan—perhaps instead of building an 8,000-capacity stadium, the five billion could be used to improve other areas.”
“There are constitutional changes taking place between the club’s trustees and the investor. A committee is continuing its work to make adjustments at BRELA, and other matters will follow,” he said.
