Simba club lawyer, Advocate Hosea Chamba, has confirmed that they responded to a summons from the TFF Legal and Players’ Status Committee to hear the case they filed against Yanga player Mohamed Damaro.
Speaking shortly after the hearing, Hosea said that neither Damaro nor Yanga representatives appeared, but Simba were given the opportunity to present their arguments before the committee.
"We showed up here, but Damaro and Yanga did not. The committee has heard our arguments, so it is now up to them to decide on the procedure they will use in making their ruling," said Hosea.
Simba officially lodged a complaint challenging the legitimacy of Yanga midfielder Mohamed Damaro Camara’s citizenship, alleging that he was registered as a local player without following proper procedures in accordance with FIFA regulations.
The case has now been referred to the Legal and Players’ Status Committee for further review, with Simba maintaining that the player was previously listed as a Guinean national in international football systems.
