Sowah’s move to Simba made headlines during the major transfer window, largely due to the impressive record he set in a short time while playing for Singida Big Stars.
The Ghanaian striker joined Singida BS during last season’s mid-season transfer window, where he scored 14 goals in just 16 matches for the “Sunflower Growers.”
Simba fans had high expectations for the striker upon his arrival, despite reports about his off-field challenges.
Many believed that joining one of the country’s biggest clubs would inspire him to uphold discipline and respect the standards of the Msimbazi Reds.
He started well, scoring three goals in his first four league matches, but things soon took a negative turn.
He was handed a five-match suspension after deliberately stepping on Azam FC midfielder Himid Mao during a league match between Azam FC and Simba on December 7, 2025.
His prolonged absence led to him losing his place in the starting lineup, which may have marked the beginning of his struggles, followed by further incidents of indiscipline that have put him at odds with the Simba management.
At present, it appears the club’s leadership has lost trust in the striker, as among the allegations he faces are claims of sabotaging the team in certain matches—accusations he has strongly denied.
