Simba SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has stated that those criticizing the club’s Investor and Honorary President, billionaire Mohamed Dewji (@moodewji), do so because they do not fully understand his value to the club.
Ahmed emphasized that if Simba were to lose Mo, it would be extremely difficult to find another figure willing to contribute as much as he does for the team. Recently, Mo facilitated the renewal of striker Elie Mpanzu’s contract, preventing the player from leaving on a free transfer as his previous contract was about to expire.
Through his social media page, Ahmed wrote:
"God says you cannot know the value of a blessing until it is gone—like someone who has sight cannot fully appreciate their eyes until they are lost. This is how some Simba fans view @moodewji within our club. Losing him is easy to imagine, but finding another Mo is far more difficult."
"Our responsibility as Simba supporters is to protect him, fight for him, and pray that he continues with us throughout his tenure. @moodewji investing in Simba is not just wealth—it is character."
"The current Simba team is thriving, and everyone wants to be part of that success. Some may forget that it is Mo who brought us here. Our appeal to @moodewji is to continue investing, so we all succeed together. We, the fans, promise to stand by you for the good of our team. When you guide us, we know; when you lead us forward, we know and ask that you take us with you, Insha Allah. Protect him, @moodewji, and help safeguard all our leaders so they can continue advancing Simba SC’s interests."
