Simba midfielder Yusuph Kagoma did not travel with the Tanzania national team, “Taifa Stars,” to Rwanda for the special FIFA Series tournament.
Taifa Stars head coach Miguel Gamondi confirmed that Kagoma is dealing with an injury, which has prevented him from taking part in training since reporting to camp two days ago.
Kagoma picked up the injury during a Mainland Premier League match against TRA United at Isamuhyo Stadium, where Simba secured a 3-0 victory.
Tanzania has been placed in Group B alongside Liechtenstein, Aruba, and Macau. Their first match will be played on March 26, 2026, against Liechtenstein.
