Simba attacking midfielder Mohamed Bajaber has been included in the Kenya national team, Harambee Stars, squad preparing for the FIFA Series tournament set to take place in Rwanda during the current FIFA international break.
Harambee Stars head coach Bennie McCarthy has included Bajaber in his squad as part of efforts to help him regain form after injuries that kept him out for much of the season.
The tournament will run from March 23 to 31, 2026, serving as important preparation for Kenya ahead of major competitions, including AFCON 2027, which will be hosted in East Africa.
In the competition, Kenya have been placed in Group A alongside Rwanda, Estonia, and Grenada.
During the mid-season transfer window, Simba temporarily deregistered Bajaber to allow him time to fully recover from his injuries.
Tanzania will also participate in the FIFA Series, with three Simba players included in the squad: Nickson Kibabage, Suleiman Mwalimu, and Yusuph Kagoma.
Tanzania have been placed in Group B alongside Liechtenstein, Aruba, and Macau, with their first match scheduled for March 26, 2026, against Liechtenstein.
