The second-leg NBC Premier League match between Azam FC and Simba SC is scheduled for April 5 in Dar es Salaam.
This will be the second match after the FIFA calendar break. Before the FIFA break, Simba is set to complete their league fixture against TRA United on March 22 at Meja Jenerali Isamuyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The match promises to be a revenge fixture for Simba SC, as the Msimbazi Reds still remember their loss in the first-leg clash at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on December 7, 2025.
Moreover, a win in this game would strengthen Simba’s championship ambitions for the current season.
Under coach Florent Ibenge, Azam FC has proven to be a strong team this season, consistently making it difficult for their Kariakoo rivals to take maximum points. Yesterday, they managed only a draw against Yanga SC, a result that also benefits Simba, as it could help reduce the points gap between them and the league leaders.
Under coach Steve Barker, Simba SC has continued to strengthen, and there is no doubt that the April 5 clash will see a very different Simba compared to the team that faced Azam FC on December 7 last year.
