Simba midfielder Clatous Chama has praised his teammates for their fighting spirit during the Premier League match against Singida BS played in Singida yesterday, where Simba secured a 2–1 victory.
Chama said the match was tough as Singida BS were also well prepared, but the most important thing for Simba was securing all three points.
"We started the match well and managed to score an early goal in the first half. Our opponents Singida BS were also well organized and they equalized, which made the game difficult."
"In the second half we continued to play according to the coach’s instructions. It wasn’t easy, but we fought hard and managed to get the win."
"I congratulate my teammates for what we achieved here. This match is now behind us and we are focusing on preparing for the next one," said Chama.
Chama was named the Man of the Match after creating Simba’s winning goal in the 85th minute, which was scored by Elie Mpanzu. Mpanzu ran behind the Singida BS defenders to meet Chama’s pass and slot the ball into the net.
The Simba squad has now traveled to Arusha, where they will face another Premier League match against TRA United on Saturday.
