Simba captain Rushine de Reuck has said the team is on the right path and only needs to improve its concentration to achieve better results in upcoming matches.
Rushine, who is currently wearing the captain’s armband alongside Shomari Kapombe, led Simba in the recent Premier League clash against Yanga, which ended in a goalless draw.
Reflecting on the match, the South African defender praised his teammates for their strong performance, insisting they deserved to win.
"We played very well, and I congratulate my teammates for the great job. We controlled the game and created many chances."
"We were just unlucky not to score, but I believe it is a match we deserved to win."
"We played with intensity without getting tired. You even saw our opponents (Yanga) wasting a lot of time because of the pressure we were putting on them."
"Even in the previous match against Dodoma Jiji, we played the same way. The only thing missing was putting the ball in the net."
"I believe we are on the right track; what we need to do is improve our focus so we can make better use of the chances we create," said the defender, who joined Simba from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Rushine has strengthened Simba’s defense, forming a solid partnership with Ismail Toure, who joined the Msimbazi club during the recent transfer window.
