The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Simba, Crescentus Magori, has stated that the club’s main objective this season is to compete for the Premier League title.
Magori urged the team’s fans and members to support the leadership in their efforts to restore the club’s pride in domestic football.
Speaking after the match against Yanga yesterday, which ended in a goalless draw, Magori congratulated Simba players for delivering a strong performance in a game he believes they deserved to win.
"We are strong and we are fighting for the championship. All Simba supporters must stop internal conflicts and divisions — this team will become even better than it is now."
"Our matches are very tough, but they are real and fair games without theatrics. We will continue playing that way," said Magori.
The draw against Yanga keeps Simba in third place on the league table with 24 points.
Simba’s next fixture will be against Coastal Union on March 5 at the Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
