Simba head coach Steve Barker has said his team is fully prepared to secure a win against Stade Malien in their final CAF Champions League group stage match tomorrow.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference earlier today, Barker acknowledged that Simba are already out of contention for a quarter-final place, while their opponents Stade Malien have secured qualification. Despite that, he stressed that the match remains highly important for his side.
The South African tactician explained that the fixture presents an opportunity for Simba to restore pride on the continental stage by finishing the group campaign on a positive note.
"Regardless of the fact that we cannot qualify for the quarter-finals, this is an important match for us as we continue to build and strengthen our team."
"We do not want to complete the group stage without a single win. We are preparing to make sure that tomorrow we play well and secure victory in front of our fans."
