A football season is always full of different moments; there are times of joy and times of pain. For Simba SC, this season has begun in a way that many fans neither expected nor are accustomed to.
Being officially eliminated from the race to qualify for the CAF Champions League quarter-finals after a 2–2 draw against Esperance de Tunis is a major blow to the club and to Simba supporters as a whole. One point after four matches is not a true reflection of a team with Simba’s history and stature in African football.
It is important to accept reality: this CAF campaign has not been good. Losing the first three matches, failing to make proper use of home games, and eventually being left with only false hope hurt many people. But in football, admitting mistakes and learning from them is the first step toward correction.

However, Simba SC’s history teaches us one important lesson: Simba is a big club that has gone through difficult times before and emerged stronger. This is not the beginning of the end, but rather the beginning of self-assessment and rebuilding.
There are signs of hope. The leadership has taken steps during the mid-season transfer window to strengthen the squad. Existing players now face increased competition, quality has improved, and the technical bench has an opportunity to correct the mistakes that appeared earlier in the season. These changes do not produce instant results, but they lay the foundation for future success.
For the fans, this is a time for calmness and wisdom. Anger, blame, and personal attacks on leaders or players will not help the team. On the contrary, they will only cause more harm. Simba needs genuine unity from its supporters—the same unity that has made the club great both within and outside Tanzania.
Yes, the pain is real. Yes, expectations have not been met. But the season is not over yet. There are still league battles to fight, there is still a chance to finish the season with dignity, and above all, Simba SC still has a future.
Simba will get through this period. What is needed now is faith, patience, and continued support for the team without giving up. This is how big clubs survive—by being supported even when they stumble.
