Simba SC head coach Steve Barker has said that despite having the advantage of playing at home, his players must give their all to ensure they win the CAF Champions League match against Esperance, which will be played tomorrow, Sunday, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Barker said he has great confidence in his players and that they will use the support of their fans as an added boost to achieve a positive result.
"We are well prepared and ready for this match, where from our side the only favorable result is a win."
"We know we have a big advantage playing in front of our supporters, but we must remain focused and give 100 percent."
"I trust my players and they are ready for this match. We will fight to get the victory," said Barker.
Speaking on behalf of his teammates, attacking midfielder Morrice Abraham said all the players are ready and fully aware of what is required of them.
"The morale is high, everyone understands the importance of winning, which is why there is no need for many instructions. Victory is the only thing on our minds," said Morrice.
Simba will host Esperance tomorrow, Saturday, in a match scheduled to kick off at 4:00 p.m. at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. Victory is the only result that will keep Simbaβs hopes of qualifying for the quarterfinals alive.
