Simba SC have made it clear that they are not willing to sell their attacking midfielder Elie Mpanzu Kibisawala, despite receiving an offer from Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca (Raja CA), it has been learned.
Reports indicate that Raja CA, currently coached by former Simba head coach Fadlu Davids, submitted an official bid to the Msimbazi Reds’ management in an attempt to sign Mpanzu. It is alleged that the Moroccan side had already reached personal terms with the DR Congo international before formally approaching Simba.
However, Simba SC have firmly decided not to release the player at this time, explaining that he still has a year and a half remaining on his contract, which ties him to the club. The club’s leadership believes there is no justification for letting the attacker leave at this crucial stage of the season.
It should be recalled that during the previous transfer window, there was significant tension between Mpanzu and Simba’s management over his contractual terms, a situation that led both parties to sit down for fresh negotiations. Eventually, an agreement was reached and the player’s terms were improved, a move that eased the situation and saw him return to the squad with renewed morale.
Sources within Simba’s leadership have emphasized that there are currently no plans whatsoever to let Mpanzu leave, as he is among the players highly trusted in the technical bench’s plans for this season.
Simba SC are determined to maintain a strong squad until the end of the campaign, prioritizing domestic and international success over the immediate financial gains that could come from selling the player.
